Introduction

Dubrovnik is Croatia's gem: a strikingly beautiful city. Its nickname is Pearl of the Adriatic. The components of this multi-faceted beauty are its location, jutting into the deep blue Adriatic Sea, the perfect condition of the old town wall, and the concentration of it architectural and historical treasures.

The old town, Stari Grad, is accessible by two gates and thus closed to motor vehicles. The quarter's main street is paved in marble, making it unique.
